"I've spent years going back and forth to the doctors and have had an extensive amount of testing done. I experienced things like bloating, gastritis, constipation, diarrhea, extreme nausea, stomach pain (sometimes so bad I had to miss work), fatigue, and even shortness of breath. Doctors would tell me you have IBS, try a FODMAP diet, you may have anxiety or try this medication to stop stomach spasms or this medication to calm your stomach, but the side effects were as bad as my symptoms.
I finally broke down and gave in. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. I was willing to try anything at this point. My coach made a great meal plan for me that I felt good about right from the start. I thought wow maybe this won't be as bad as I thought. My coach also helped with recipes and new ideas and I began to love the food I was eating. The dictionary says that nourishment is: the food or other substances necessary for growth, health, and good condition. This is how I began to feel about the food I was now feeding my body.
The biggest goal I have achieved so far was staying committed but every day that I started to feel better, the better I felt about my decision and the easier it was to stick to my goals. Aside from a few bouts of slow digestion in the beginning, all of my digestive issues are gone. I have lost weight and inches. My daily cravings for sweets and carbs vanished. My headaches and sleeplessness are gone. My anxiety is better. I have noticed improvements in my hair, skin, and nails. My energy is also better. I do not feel the mid-day crash that I used to experience.
I still have a lot to learn about AIP but my experience so far has been extraordinary. I am very thankful for my coach Debbie, and the L8R's. For anyone considering it I would highly recommend it. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. "
